David joined Public Trust as Chief Risk Officer in September 2019, before taking over as the General Manager of our Corporate Trustee Services team in 2022. David brings a wealth of energy and expertise to the team.

David Callanan
Elena Vinton
Elena has over 15 years' experience in a variety of legal, tax and finance roles.
Elena joined Public Trust in September 2015. She previously worked as a treasury funding associate, a banking and finance lawyer in the UK, and a tax consultant for a big four accounting firm.
Marisa Tucker
Marisa joined Public Trust in April 2024. With over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, Marisa has held a variety of roles with a legal, policy and regulatory compliance focus. Marisa has considerable corporate trustee experience including extensive knowledge on managed investment schemes, KiwiSaver and debt offers.
Marisa holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in Finance and Law, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Bournemouth University, UK.
Rob Kingston
Rob has over 20 years’ experience in leadership and operations management in the financial services sector in Australia and New Zealand. He joined Corporate Trustee Services in May 2019. His previous experience includes managing large teams at two of the big four banks, a New Zealand telco, and an Australian insurance provider. He is skilled in project management and agile ways of working.
Fong Feng
Fong has been with Public Trust for 5 years working with various PT clients and internal stakeholders in areas of risk management and regulatory compliance. Prior to PT, Fong specialized in financial risk management and consulting for over 10 years.
Jerry Koh
Jerry is a Chartered Accountant who has over 23 years’ experience in audit and financial service industries in New Zealand and Asia. He joined Corporate Trustee Services in April 2019, and prior to this he spent over 16 years in managed investment services industry in various roles including fund accounting, investment operations, financial and regulatory reporting and compliance. Jerry has also held previous roles with the big four accounting firms.
Kirk Brennan
Kirk has been in the trustee and financial services industry in New Zealand for over 25 years helping with estate administration, taxation, farm management, commercial property and, more recently, leading the Public Trust team that handles KiwiSaver withdrawal applications.
Mike Knowles
Mike has over 20 years in the corporate trustee industry with experience across all products including managed investment schemes, debt offers and structured transactions. Mike joined Public Trust in 2016. Mike has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University. Prior to entering the corporate trustee industry, Mike’s experience included financial controlling and investment management.
Amy Cavanaugh
Amy joined Public Trust in July 2023. With over a decade experience across banking, insurance and investments leading operational functions or managing large projects, she has a strong understanding of the financial services industry and the complexities of driving transformational change within the evolving market.
Nigel Gaudin
With a wealth of experience spanning over two decades in the banking and financial services sector, Nigel leads the custodial services team based in Wellington. He is responsible for managing client relationships and overall service delivery, while also taking the lead in strategic business development initiatives for the Corporate Trustee Services team. Before joining Public Trust, he played pivotal roles at various New Zealand banks, contributing significantly to the development and execution of growth strategies and overseeing nationwide business units, including financial markets.
Ramona van Melle
Ramona has over 10 years' experience in tax, legal and financial services roles. Before joining Public Trust as a Client Services Manager in October 2018, Ramona spent several years working at EY as a manager in the Corporate Tax team providing tax advice to large corporates, including in the financial services team. Ramona is a Senior Client Services Manager for a range of clients, including managed funds, KiwiSaver schemes, securitisations and debt issues. Ramona holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.
Brian See
Brian has over 23 years' experience in banking, spanning relationship management, treasury and securitisation. He joined Public Trust from Bank of New Zealand (BNZ), where he held a number of roles including client relationship and managing BNZ’s Covered Bonds and Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) programmes.
Martyn Ogilvie
Martyn has been with Public Trust for over 20 years, with significant experience in the funds management industry. Martyn is the Manager Client Services for some of our major Wellington and South Island appointments and has assisted them through various legislative changes such as KiwiSaver and superannuation scheme issuer status change, the transition of schemes under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 and our KiwiSaver managers’ appointment as default KiwiSaver providers. He has also provided assistance and guidance with establishing new schemes under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.
Andrew Strother
With over 30 years' experience working in financial services, Andrew has covered marketing, distribution and compliance corporate roles with previous employers, which include Sovereign, AXA and AMP. Relationship management is central to his working day at Public Trust and provides him with the greatest personal satisfaction. His key focus includes MIS arrangements, including KiwiSaver and retirement savings schemes, and debt issues. He manages both retail and wholesale clients.
Mike Matuszek
Prior to joining Public Trust Corporate Trustee Services in June 2020, Mike was a Business Development/Account Manager with AMP. Mike has extensive experience in sales and sales management, quality control and compliance in both the financial and insurance industry in New Zealand and Canada. Mike has extensive knowledge of the NZ superannuation market, including KiwiSaver, master trusts and pension schemes. Mike was an Authorised Financial Adviser, Certified Financial Planner, and holds an Honours Degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada.
Poornima Wickramasinghe
Poornima has six years of professional experience in banking and macro-economic research related areas in New Zealand, Qatar and Sri Lanka. She joined Public Trust as a Business Administration Analyst in Feb 2022 and recently joint with the Assurance Analyst team. Poornima holds a Master's of Commerce in Economics from the University of Auckland, a Bachelor of Laws, and is professionally qualified with CIMA, UK.
Steve Wanden
Steve joined Public Trust in 2022, with over 25 years' experience in financial services in New Zealand and Australia. Recently Steve has held product manager roles at Forsyth Barr and AMP Wealth. Prior to that he was a product manager at ASB for 10 years. Steve holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Susanna Lee
Susanna has over 15 years' experience in the banking industry, both in NZ and in the UK, where she had various roles in finance, treasury middle office funding unit, system integration, project management and client relationship management. Since then, Susanna worked at a tax pooling intermediary for 5 years as the Senior Commercial Analyst where she successfully set up a multi-million dollar securitisation programme for the company and was a key member of the company's finance and funding team.
Paul Jones
Paul joined Public Trust in 2019, with over 20 years’ experience gained in Europe, Australia and New Zealand with international, public and SME organisations across not-for-profit, public tertiary education real estate and professional services. In his role as trust accountant, he assisted the audit and risk committee with governance and risk matters, and managed cash investment portfolio and cash flow requirements.
Chris Moore
Chris joined Public Trust in 2004 after 12 years working in the airline industry, holding roles within inter-airline billing and reconciliation and loyalty programme reservations. He made the shift to Public Trust starting in the Contact Centre, and within 6 months was part of the Fee Protect helpdesk, eventually moving to the acting-manager and then full-time manager of the team in 2017. Chris holds a Diploma in Systems Technology.
Tina Liu
Tina joined Public Trust in 2018 as Risk Analyst and moved to the Assurance Analyst team in 2021. Prior to this, Tina worked in bank and accounting firms. Tina is a certified Financial Risk Manager and holds a conjoint degree in Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce.
Kiran Prasad
Kiran joined Public Trust in December 2012 and spent almost 10 years in the retail side of the business across various roles. Most recently he was the Principal Trustee of the Wellington Customer Centre and responsible for the ongoing management of the team. In October 2022, Kiran made the move to the Corporate Trustee Services side of the business and joined the Supervision team as a Client Services Manager. Kiran has an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Canterbury.
Bernadette Tay
Bernadette joined Public Trust in 2022 and is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years' experience in leading the Group finance, accounting and compliance functions for both US and Singapore public-listed companies with subsidiaries across Asia Pacific. Bernadette holds a Bachelor of Law, Master's degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration.
Kelly Yu
Kelly has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry in China and New Zealand. She spent a few years working in a similar role before joining Public Trust as a business analyst in August 2022. Prior to that, she worked in various global financial institutions across various roles. Kelly holds a Master's degree in Management Studies, majoring in Accounting.
Tom McKeogh
Tom joined Public Trust in 2021 shortly following completion of his Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Economics and Finance, and has been working in his current role as Associate Client Services Manager since the start of 2023.
Charles Stuart
Charlie has experience in a variety of different roles and organisations both domestically and internationally in financial and commercial analysis, and among other things, works on our Kiwisaver hardship withdrawal applications.
Rosie Tang
Rosie is a Chartered Accountant who has over 18 years’ experience in financial service industries in New Zealand. She joined Corporate Trustee Services in June 2019. Prior to this, she had over 15 years’ experience in managed investment services industry particularly in fund accounting, financial and regulatory reporting and compliance. She holds Bachelor’s degrees in Commerce and Engineering.
Disha Singh
Disha has over 13 years' experience in the financial services industry in New Zealand and India. Her experience involves various operations in investment banking, custody and compliance. She joined Public Trust Corporate Trustee Services in Dec 2022 as an Assurance Analyst Team Lead. Disha holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance, and a Bachelor's degree in Statistics.

Our background
Corporate Trustee Services was formed in 1967 as a separate business division within Public Trust. In 2000 we acquired New Zealand Permanent Trustees, which retains its own identity under Public Trust.
Trustee Licensing
Under the Financial Markets Supervisors Act 2011 (FMS Act) Public Trust is licenced by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) to act as a trustee or supervisor of:
regulated offers of debt securities
registered schemes (including KiwiSaver schemes, Non-fund schemes, Specified managed funds, Superannuation schemes)
and act as a statutory supervisor of retirement villages.
Public Trust’s licence was renewed by the FMA on 17 January 2018 and expires on 16 January 2023.

Public Trust is also licenced under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 to provide corporate independent trustee services to restricted schemes.
