Terms & Conditions: 20% off Offer  

The Public Trust Expect the Expected offer (“Offer”) is for:  

1. 20% off wills, mirror wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney (“EPAs”), mirror EPAs and Statement of Wishes and re-opens (online product only) prepared by or through Public Trust. 

2. Offer is valid Wednesday, 23rd October at 1:00 AM to Sunday, 8th December at 12:00 AM NZT only. (Promotional Period) 

 To receive the Offer, you must: 

1. Log into an existing Public Trust Online account or create an online account on Public Trust Online. Sign Up | Public Trust (publictrustonline.co.nz), or make payment at a Public Trust customer centre appointment during the Offer promotional dates. 

2. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers, excludes Online Expert Reviews and upgrades of will matters between any tiers (basic, standard & comprehensive).

3. Make full payment, with the applicable discount automatically applied at checkout.

4. The 20% off promotional offer is automatically applied at checkout, if you have an alternative Coupon Code with a more beneficial offer, you can manually enter the alternative Coupon Code at checkout. Your purchase will still qualify you for one (1) automatic entry into the prize draw. 

5. Purchases made through a partnership agreement with Public Trust below via invitational discounts will have the agreed offer automatically applied at checkout. Your purchase will still qualify for one (1) automatic entry into the prize draw;

Terms and Conditions: Be in to win 1 of 10 $1,000 Vouchers 

• Promotion Overview 

1. By purchasing a Qualifying Product during the Promotional Period, customers will automatically receive one entry into the draw to win 1 of 10 $1,000 NZD vouchers (the "Promotion"). 

• Promotional Period 

1. The Promotion runs from Wednesday, 23rd October at 1:00 AM to Sunday, 8th December at 12:00 AM (Promotional Period). Purchases made outside of this period are not eligible for entry.  

Eligibility and how to enter  

To be eligible for the promotion and win a prize:  

1. you cannot be an employee or contractor of Public Trust; 

2. you cannot be "Family" being an employees’ spouse, de facto partner or children. 

3. you must have made an Eligible Purchase from a centre or online; 

4. you must be a New Zealand resident and 18 years of age or older; 

5. Customers will automatically receive one (1) entry into the promotion draw for every qualifying product purchased during the Promotional Period.  

6. No additional forms or actions are required for entry. 

7. The Promotion excludes cancelled purchases of Qualifying Products. 

By participating in the Public Trust customer promotion, you are considered to have accepted these Terms and Conditions. If you do not wish to take part in the promotion, please contact us by Sunday, 8 December, using the same email address registered with Public Trust Online to email [email protected] and include 'Confirmation to Opt-Out of Public Trust "Expect the Expected" Competition' in the subject line.’ 

Qualifying Products 

1. Qualifying Products include all Public Trust items listed on www.publictrust.co.nz, excluding Expert Reviews and upgrades of will matters between any tiers (basic, standard & comprehensive). 

2. Multi-product purchases may result in multiple entries, provided the items are individually listed as Qualifying Products. 

Prize Details 

There are 10 prizes available, each consisting of one $1,000 NZD voucher. Winners will have the option to choose from one of the following retailers to redeem their voucher:  

1. Famers  

2. Z Energy  

3. Mitre 10 

4. New World  

5. Rebel Sport 

Vouchers are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. 

Winner Selection 

1. Winners will be drawn and verified by Public Trust or its agents by random electronic selection from all eligible entries.  

2. The first 10 eligible winners drawn will win a $1,000 NZD voucher of their choice from the five retailers available.  

The draw will take place on Wednesday, 11 December 2024 at Public Trust, 151 Queen Street, Auckland.  

Winner Notification 

1. Winners will be notified via phone or email using the contact details provided during purchase. 

2. If a winner cannot be contacted within 5 business days of Thursday, 12 December 2024, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be selected. 

Prize Collection 

1. Winners will receive their voucher via email or postal delivery within 10 business days of notification. 

Publicity 

Winners' names will not be publicly announced or used for promotional purposes without their explicit consent. 

General Conditions 

1. Public Trust reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion (including the choice of retailers for voucher prizes) in the event of technical issues, fraud, or any factors beyond its control. 

2. Public Trust reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who has breached any of these terms and conditions. 

3. All decisions by Public Trust regarding the Promotion are final and binding. 

Limitation of Liability 

1. Public Trust is not responsible for any late or misdirected entries, or any failure of technical systems. 

2. Public Trust shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from the acceptance or use of any prize.

• Personal information collected for the purposes of this Promotion will be handled in accordance with Public Trust’s privacy policy, available at https://www.publictrust.co.nz/privacy-policy/  

Governing Law 

The Promotion is governed by New Zealand law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand Courts.

1.3 The offer can be applied to a maximum of one Will and two EPA’s per customer.

2.2.  Enter the offer code provided to you in the discount code field upon checkout;

2.3.  To receive the offer in-centre, the Customer must make payment in full-t, subject to the discount.

Riding for the Disabled New Zealand (NZRDA)

1.        The NZRDA offer (“Offer”) is for:

1.1. $85 off online wills at publictrustonline.co.nz for NZRDA members, supporters and staff through the discount code provided to NZRDA.

1.2. This $85 Will discount can be used once per customer

1.3. 20% off further online Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney, when purchased in a separate transaction to the $85 discount in 1.1.  

1.3.1 This 20% discount can be used a maximum of three times per customer


2.      To receive the Offer, you must:

2.1.    Be an NZRDA supporter, member or staff member at the time of the offer or become one during the time the offer is running.

2.2.   You must create an online account on Public Trust Online Sign Up | Public Trust (publictrustonline.co.nz); and

2.3.   Apply the discount code provided to you by NZRDA at checkout.

3.      Offer is not available for products or services prepared or delivered in Public Trust customer centres; and it cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.

4.      Neither discount code applies to Statements of Wishes or Expert Reviews

5.      Offer is available between 5 August 2024 and 30 August 2025

8. By accepting and taking up this offer, the NZRDA supporter consents to Public Trust sharing the details of their acceptance and utilisation of the offer with NZRDA.
